Since we have reached our fundraising goal we are no longer accepting donations.

The Committee to Commemorate John Wilson would like to thank the Brookline Community Foundation, its staff and Executive Director Jenny Amory for their encouragement and assistance in this project. Their service as an umbrella organization, with the ability to set up a fund so that we could receive tax-deductible donations, was a vital part of our effort. We encourage you to visit BCF’s website to learn about the many other ways that they support our community with your donations.

A note about donor recognition for the John Wilson/MLK fund:
Nearly 350 individuals, families, businesses and organization contributed $100,000.  At the dedication on January 27 we will list the names of all donors alphabetically in the printed program for the ceremony. Businesses, if requested, will be credited with an ad in the program.
There will not be any permanent recognition of donors. The MLK sculpture will only have a bronze plaque stating the name of the artist, title and date and “A gift from the greater Brookline community and friends of John Wilson” (although this wording is provisional).
